Battery Replacement & Pressure Check
The technician opens the case with the correct tool, fits a matched cell, inspects the gasket, and performs a basic pressure check on water-resistant pieces. The case exterior is cleaned before return. Most appointments take thirty to sixty minutes.

Crystal Replacement & Polishing
Sapphire, mineral, or acrylic crystal matched to the original specification. The bezel is removed, the new crystal seated under press with the correct gasket, and a full pressure check follows. Where the existing crystal can be saved through polishing, this is offered as an alternative. Vintage sourcing may extend the timeline.

Case Refinishing for Steel Watches
A careful workshop service restoring the brushed and polished surfaces of a steel case and bracelet. Each surface is masked individually; successive grits and brushing tools restore the original chamfers without rounding edges or obscuring engravings. Bracelet centre links receive light buffing. A service best suited every several years.

Questions We Hear Often
Do I need an appointment for a battery change?
Walk-ins are welcome for battery replacements during studio hours. Scheduling ahead is useful on Saturdays, when the bench tends to be busier. For crystal work or case refinishing, an appointment is preferred so we can set aside adequate time.
How long does crystal replacement take?
Most crystal replacements are completed within two to three working days. If your piece requires a crystal sourced from a specialist supplier — common with older or unusual models — we will let you know the expected timeline, which can extend by a week or two.
What does case refinishing involve?
We restore the original brushed and polished surfaces of a steel case, working carefully to maintain the geometry of chamfers and lugs. Each surface is treated separately. We do not round edges or remove material beyond what restoring the finish requires. Engravings are masked throughout.
Do you work on vintage watches?
We handle crystal fitting and battery work on many vintage pieces. Some older gasket profiles require sourcing time. Case refinishing on vintage watches is approached conservatively — we discuss the specific piece and the owner's preferences before starting any surface work.
How do I know the price before leaving my watch?
Service prices are posted clearly and discussed at drop-off. If an inspection reveals something unexpected — a worn gasket or a bracelet pin that needs attention — we will tell you about it and its cost before doing anything further. You are never committed to additional work without agreeing first.
Is my watch safe while it is with you?
Each watch is kept in a numbered padded tray from drop-off to collection. Watches left overnight are stored in a locked cabinet. We issue a written receipt for every piece we receive.
